Aerobic permit paperwork
The county's published aerobic permit instructions call for an OSSF application, site evaluation, RS/PE design, warranty deed or dated survey, filed affidavit, two-year maintenance contract, and map or directions. Review the current forms and requirements with Public Works before filing; incomplete applications are not accepted.
Authorization before construction
Wise County's development rules require authorization to construct before OSSF work begins. The system plan must match the site evaluation and applicable county and TCEQ requirements. Keep the permit and final inspection documents with the property records.
Repairs and changes to a system
TCEQ says almost all OSSF construction, repair, extension, and alteration work requires a permit in advance. Wise County's application includes a category for altering, extending, or repairing an existing system. Ask Public Works what plans and documentation your particular repair requires.
